Mid-morning is between 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. Mid-morning is typically accepted as the midpoint between sunrise and noon. Sunrise is usually between 7:00 a.m. and 7:30 a.m., which means that there are 4 1/2 to 5 hours between sunrise and noon. Mid-morning is typically between 2 hours 15 minutes and 2 hours 30 minutes after sunrise.

There are some conflicts in the various definitions of mid-morning, however. Dictionary.com defines mid-morning as the "mid-point between early morning and noon." In the strictest terms, this would be around 6 a.m., since morning is technically defined as anything after midnight. Although 6:00 a.m. seems very early for mid-morning in contemporary times, it actually correlates quite well to the original subdivision of the day into periods of prayer for the priesthood.
