According to USA.com, the state that receives the most snow on average is Vermont. Vermont has an average snow rating of 89.25 inches per year.
The next four states in terms of highest average snowfall are Maine, New Hampshire, Colorado, and Alaska, all of which receive over 60 inches of snow per year. The five states with the least snowfall are: Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana, Florida, and Hawaii. All of these states receive less than one inch, and Hawaii, on average, receives no snow in a year, due to its location at a low latitude and in the middle of the ocean.
