Whether looking to help relieve pain or inflict it, pressures points exist throughout the human body, from the temples to the ankles and feet. For headaches, move your fingers in circles on the flat area on each side of the head that is approximately 1/2 inch away from the eyebrows.
To relieve stress, apply gentle pressure to the dokko, the space where the jaw and skull meet. For most people, the dokko is at the base of the ear, under the outer edge of the earlobe. For self-defense, it is important to protect the hichu pressure point. Located under the Adam’s Apple, where the chest and neck adjoin, a small amount of pressure to this spot can be debilitating.
