What Is a Parcel of Land?
A parcel of land is a measured portion or area of land. A parcel is defined by Dictionary.com as “a distinct, continuous portion or tract of land” and “a part, portion or fragment.”
When tracts of land are divided, bought and sold among owners, they are divided into groups referred to as parcels. Parcels of land also can be referred to as tracts or lots of land.
