The molarity of NaOH shows the concentration of sodium hydroxide in a solution in terms of moles per liter. The molarity of a sodium hydroxide solution can be determined by dividing the amount of sodium hydroxide (in moles) present by the number of liters of the overall solution.
For example, if there are 50 moles of NaOH in 500 liters of solution, it is a 0.1 molar NaOH solution. In cases where the amount of sodium hydroxide is given in grams, it should first be converted to moles by using its molar mass. It is important to always use moles for the solute and liters for the solution when computing for molarity.
