Yellow and pink mixed together create the color peach. When mixing the two colors, equal parts of each shade must be used to get a true peach color.
Whether mixing paint colors or food coloring, equal parts of pink and lemon yellow create a peach color. Adding some more pink produces a peach shade that has deeper red tones while adding additional yellow to the mix produces a peach shade with more orange tones.
When working with food coloring to create peach-colored icing, slowly adding more white icing lightens up the peach shade. To create flesh-tone, white icing is added to the peach-colored icing until the desired shade is obtained.
