The temperature of a Bic lighter can reach nearly 1,977 degrees Celsius or 3,590.6 degrees Fahrenheit. The temperature of a lighter’s flame depends on what type of fuel the lighter uses. Bic lighters use butane and are called butane lighters.
A Bic lighter produces a premixed laminar flame, meaning that the fuels of the flame mix with oxygen before burning and retain a relatively steady shape. Although a lighter flame appears to be a solid mass of light, it is actually hollow. The core of the flame consists of the fuel gas and air pushing steadily outward to create the flame shape.
