What Is a Natural Resource Map?
A natural resource map shows the expanse of natural resources found on and in the surface of the Earth. Natural cover of the worlds, world map of natural vegetation and world map of minerals are examples of natural resource maps.
Natural resources are things in the environment that are valuable to humans. They can be raw materials or things that are directly consumed. Trees, ore, groundwater and animals are all considered to be natural resources. Many natural resources are needed for humans to survive, while others are wants.
Natural resources are classified as biotic or abiotic. Biotic resources are taken from the biosphere, and abiotic resources are non-living things. Natural resources can also be categorized as renewable and non-renewable. Renewable resources can be replenished or reproduced easily, and non-renewable resources are formed over long periods of time.
