The Aeronautics Mission Directorate works to make travel safer and more comfortable. Research for this department is conducted at NASA’s Ames Research Center, Dryden Flight Research Center, Glenn Research Center and Langley Research Center. NASA’s Science Mission Directorate focuses on scientific and unmanned exploration activities.
