As of 2014, Jeff Smith serves as meteorologist for WABC-TV in New York City. He produces the weather report for the weekend Eyewitness News shows at 6:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m.
Smith holds a B.S. in meteorology from Cornell University. He worked for news stations in Albany, N.Y., and Oak Hill, W.Va., prior to joining WABC-TV. Born in 1981, Smith hails from Plymouth, Mass. He holds the Certified Broadcast Meteorologist credential from the American Meteorological Society.
Owned by the Walt Disney Company, WABC-TV serves New York City and broadcasts via DirectTV satellite service to other eastern United States markets and to Latin American countries.
