What Is the Highest Humidity Ever Recorded?

The highest humidity ever recorded was a 95 degrees Fahrenheit dew point in Saudi Arabia in 2003. The dew point is correlated with relative humidity; theoretically, humidity could reach saturation at 100 percent and there is no higher percentage that humidity could possibly reach. Some of the most humid places on earth are in Asia in areas such as India and Pakistan.

In the United States, areas with the highest levels of humidity are in Washington state, and the areas with the highest dew points are in Florida and Texas. When humidity is combined with a hot temperature, it can make heat even more dangerous to one’s health. Generally speaking, humidity is measured as the amount of water vapor that is in the air. There are three different main measurements, relative humidity, absolute humidity and specific humidity.
