Commercial bronze, which is made up of 90 percent copper and 10 percent zinc, has a density of 8.8 grams per cubic centimeter. Some types of bronze contain other elements, which affects their density.

Bronze is a copper alloy, which means it is mostly copper mixed with another metal. Aluminum bronze has a density of 7.58 grams per cubic centimeter, while aluminum-silicon bronze has a density of 7.69 grams per cubic centimeter. One type of bronze consists of 5 percent aluminum and 95 percent copper. This bronze has a density of 8.17 grams per cubic centimeter. The density of bronze made with copper and manganese is 8.36 grams per cubic centimeter.

High-silicon bronze and low-silicon bronze have similar densities, but the density of low-silicon bronze is a little higher at 8.75 grams per cubic centimeter. The type of bronze with the highest density is phosphorus bronze, which consists of 1.25 percent phosphorus. It has a density of 8.89 grams per cubic centimeter.
