What Batteries Are Equivalent to a Cr927?

CR927 batteries are also known as DL927, DL927B, BR927, BR927-1W, CR279-1W, LM927, 5011LC, ECR927 and KCR927, depending on which battery company manufactures this particular size and voltage. The designation CR927 refers to the chemical composition, height and diameter of the battery. CR927.com notes that CR means it is lithium manganese dioxide, 9 refers to 9.5 millimeters in diameter and 27 denotes 2.7 millimeters thick. CR927 batteries have three volts each.

Batteries that are the same voltage as the CR927, but not necessarily the same size, include 2032, 2450, 2025, and 2430 batteries. The numbers indicate different heights and thicknesses, even though the voltage of the batteries are the same. For instance, a 2032 battery is 2.0 millimeters wide and 3.2 millimeters thick, yet it is three volts like the CR927.

Due to the small sizes of CR927 batteries, they are often sold in quantities of 5, 10, 25, 50 and 100. Manufacturers include Panasonic, Duracell, Energizer, Rayovac, Sanyo and Vinnic. According to Mega Batteries, batteries of this size are so small, they are called “coin cells.”

The shelf life of these non-rechargeable batteries is between 7 to 10 years, and they are used in blinking jewelry, calculators, flashing toys, watches, glow-in-the-dark jewelry, car starters, garage door openers and computer memory backup.
