The Goddess Athena's weaknesses were that she lacked compassion, was too ruled by intellect and was out of touch with emotions. The Roman name for Athena was Minerva.
Athena was the Greek Goddess of wisdom and war. She was known for being a diplomat and strategist. Unlike many deities, she enjoyed taking an active part of the lives of mortals and assisted Greek heroes such as Jason and Hercules in their quests.
Athena was a warrior Goddess and needed to win at any cost, even if it meant abandoning ethical principals. She was a patron and defender of the city of Athens and took part in the battle of Troy. She refused all suitors because she did not want emotion to affect her intellect.
