The National Archives and Records Administration's National Personnel Records Center, abbreviated as NPRC, in St. Louis, Missouri is the only place that has records of every American who has served throughout the 20th century. This is a likely place to find a list of Vietnam veterans who survived the war.
As of the spring of 2005, the NPRC did not have comprehensive electronic records. The National Archives provides information on how to research and obtain military records. Individual requests are typically made by a service person or his next of kin.
The five-story building in St. Louis contains a wealth of history, with official military personnel folders, telling the stories of many heroes from Vietnam and other wars.
