Bill Gates was 20 years old when he started Microsoft with his partner Paul Allen, who was 22 years old at that time. Bill gates dropped out of Harvard College so that he could pursue his dream of starting his own computer company.
Bill Gates was born in Seattle on Oct. 28, 1955. He showed an interest in computer programming at a very early age when he was just 13 years old. It was soon to become his lifelong passion.
Microsoft launched its first operating system in 1985 with the release of Microsoft Windows. Over the years, Microsoft has launched various operating systems including Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8.
