The natural resources in New Jersey include its forests, streams and beaches. Wetlands, estuaries and bays are also resources in the state. In addition, the state is abundant in various crushed stones, including traprock and granite.
New Jersey has several important resources related to agriculture, and it produces spinach, peppers and eggplant. It is also a major exporter of blueberries and cranberries. Another resource in the state is seafood that includes clams, lobsters and scallops.
Though New Jersey has many resources, its economy does not rely heavily on those resources as other states do. It is the leading state however, in the manufacturing of chemicals and chemical-based products.
