What Are the Names of the Western Countries?

There are numerous countries in the western hemisphere, such as the United States, Mexico and Canada. Some other countries in the western hemisphere are Cuba, Brazil and Jamaica.

Countries in the western hemisphere are divided into three continents: North America, Central America and South America. Countries that are located in North America include the U.S., Mexico and Canada, as well as other countries and territories, like Greenland and Saint Pierre and Miquelon. The Caribbean nations and territories are also considered part of the North American continent and include Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Aruba, the Bahamas, Barbados, Bonaire, the British Virgin Islands, the Cayman Islands, Clipperton Island and Cuba. Others included in this group are Curacao, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Grenada, Guadeloupe, Haiti, Jamaica, Martinique, Montserrat, Navassa Island, Puerto Rico, Saba, Saint Barthelemy, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia and Saint Martin.

Central American countries include Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and Panama. There are many countries in South America as well like Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, Brazil, French Guiana, Suriname, Guyana and Venezuela.

The populations of these western nations and territories differ widely. Many of these countries produce valuable exports and have varying types of governments.
