First-class tickets on the Titanic ranged in price from 30 pounds for a single berth ticket to 870 pounds for a large private parlor. In modern U.S. dollars, this is the equivalent to $1,724 and $50,000 respectively.

Second-class tickets cost around 12 pounds, or $690 in modern U.S. currency. Third-class tickets ranged in price from 3 to 8 pounds, or around $172 to $460, adjusted for inflation. Passengers could also pay to use the on-board pool, which cost 1 shilling. Wireless telegrams could be sent for a fee that increased based on number of words. The ship sailed with a total of 2,207 people on board, including passengers and staff.
