Sweden is located in Northern Europe, and it is surrounded by the straits of Kattegat and Skagerrak, Gulf of Bothnia and Baltic Sea.
Sweden shares its land borders with Finland and Norway. It forms coastal boundaries with Germany, Poland, Russia, Latvia, Lithuania, Denmark and Estonia. The country’s lowest point is the recovered bay of Lake Hammarsjon at -7.9 feet. Other bodies of water in Sweden are Osterdal River, Storuman River, Ume River and Skellefte River.
