What Was Invented in 1974 ?

Several products and procedures were invented in 1974. One example is the Post-It Note, which was created by American Arthur Fry. Since their invention, Post-It Notes have been sold in over 100 countries across the world and are still used over 40 years later.

Other discoveries and advancements the scientific community made in 1974 include the Heimlich maneuver and liposuction. The former was invented by Henry Heimlich and is a life-saving procedure used to rescue choking victims. The maneuver is taught in most CPR and First Aid courses. Liposuction is a weight-reduction surgery invented by Italian gynecologist Giorgio Fischer. Other notable inventions from that year are the Rubix Cube and the UPC barcode.
