The northern border of Italy is surrounded by four different countries: France, Austria, Switzerland and Slovenia. Italy’s capital is Rome, which is often called the Eternal City. It is home to more than 2.5 million people. The country as a whole is home to more than 61 million people. The population is spread across 20 different regions like Tuscany and Veneto.
