Asheville is the largest city in western North Carolina and the 11th-largest city in the entire state, with a population of 83,393 as of the 2010 census. The city is home to the United States National Climatic Data Center, the largest active archive of weather data, and the Biltmore Estate, the largest private residence in North America.
