Discount tickets for Waldameer Park are available on the park’s website and through AAA. The discounts on the website vary, and some are only available for specific dates. The online discount sales program allows group leaders and companies to issue a discount code to members or employees who enter the code to purchase discounted tickets.
Waldameer Park admission is free, but visitors have the option of purchasing individual ride tickets or an unlimited ride wristband. Visitors also have access to the Water World attraction or combination tickets for the wristband and water park admission.
The Erie, Pennsylvania park is the fourth oldest amusement park in the state and the tenth oldest in the United States. It began as Hoffman’s Grove, a picnic ground, but the Erie Electric Car company leased the park, changed the name to Waldameer Park and made it the terminus to one of its trolley routes.
The amusement park has 32 rides, video games, midway games and a live music stage as of 2014. Water World has a wave pool, 16 slides and an endless river ride. Weather conditions sometimes close the water park.
