There are 23 countries in North America. They are the United States, Canada, Mexico, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Panama, Trinidad and Tobago, El Salvador, Honduras, Jamaica, Nicaragua, Haiti, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, San Lucia, Antigua and Barbuda, Grenada, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and Dominica.
The United States, Canada and Mexico account for most of the land mass of North America, but all of the countries in Central America and the islands of the Caribbean are also considered part of the continent. Greenland, which is part of the Kingdom of Denmark, is also considered part of North America.
