Mexico is a country that is on the continent of North America. Mexico’s location in North America is south of the United States and north of the Central American countries of Belize and Guatemala.
The capital of Mexico is Mexico City, which also is the country’s largest city. Mexico’s official language is Spanish. During pre-Colombian times, many cultures, such as the Olmec and Aztec, thrived in this region of North America.
Besides Mexico, the North American continent consists of many other countries, including Haiti, Barbados, Bermuda, the United States and Canada. The island of Greenland is also part of North America.
