Kruger National Park, established in 1898, is famous for being South Africa’s oldest established wildlife park. It has the largest variety of wildlife in all of Africa, and is also known for being one of the best maintained parks in Africa as well. South Africa is also famous for its many large scale mining ventures. The country is the largest producer of chrome, manganese, platinum, vanadium and vermiculite, and the second-largest producer of ilmenite, palladium, rutile and zirconium.
