The Caribbean nations and territories are also considered part of the North American continent and include Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Aruba, the Bahamas, Barbados, Bonaire, the British Virgin Islands, the Cayman Islands, Clipperton Island and Cuba. Others included in this group are Curacao, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Grenada, Guadeloupe, Haiti, Jamaica, Martinique, Montserrat, Navassa Island, Puerto Rico, Saba, Saint Barthelemy, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia and Saint Martin.
Central American countries include Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and Panama. There are many countries in South America as well like Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, Brazil, French Guiana, Suriname, Guyana and Venezuela.
The populations of these western nations and territories differ widely. Many of these countries produce valuable exports and have varying types of governments.
