Israel is located on the continent of Asia and is located between the countries of Egypt and Lebanon. Other countries and territories bordering Israel include Gaza Strip, Jordan, Syria, and West Bank. Israel is located at the southwestern shore of the Mediterranean Sea.

The designated capital of Israel is Jerusalem, while the main economic city is Tel Aviv. The total area of Israel is 8,522 square miles. Israel has an estimated population of 8.1 million people. Israel’s natural resources include timber, potash, copper ore, natural gas, phosphate rock, magnesium bromide, clay and sand. Israel experiences periodic earthquakes as well as sandstorms in the spring and summer months.
