Absolute location is the exact location on Earth of a specific place. Longitude and latitude are often used to describe the specific location of a person, place or thing.

Location is the area where an object is situated. It can be expressed in absolute location or relative location. Relative location is a description of where a place is located in reference to other places. Relative location creates and reports a relationship between the two places. Absolute location is more precise than relative location. Absolute location is considered a form of relative location because using the coordinates gives a place’s position in proportion to the equator and prime meridian.
