Zodiac signs that are considered opposites are Aries and Libra, Taurus and Scorpio, Gemini and Sagittarius, and Cancer and Capricorn. Additionally, Leo and Aquarius, and Virgo and Pisces are incompatible. Astrologically, these signs exhibit opposite traits from one another.
Astrological signs are based on four basic elements: Fire, Water, Earth and Air. Each sign is attached to its own personality trait and assigned to a person’s birth month.
The Fire signs are Aries, Leo and Sagittarius. Fire signs are not compatible with Water or Earth signs.
The Water signs are Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces. Water signs are incompatible with Air and Fire signs.
Earth signs are Capricorn, Taurus, and Virgo. Earth signs are also incompatible with Air and Fire signs.
Air signs are Libra, Gemini and Aquarius. Air signs are not compatible with Earth and Water signs.
For example, someone with the astrological sign Virgo should not be in close relationships with a person born under the sign Libra, as Virgo is an Earth sign, and the other is an Air sign.
However, Air and Fire signs are compatible with one another. A Libra and a Sagittarius are considered a good match. Similarly, Water and Earth signs are compatible, so a Scorpio and a Capricorn are a good match.
