The youngest known great grandmother is a Romanian woman who became a great grandmother at the age of 40. Her daughter is the youngest grandmother on record at 23.

Romanian Rifca Stanefscu had her first child at the age of 12. That child, whose name is Maria, had her first child at the age of 11. Rifca’s mother was only 40 years old when that child was born, which is 1 year younger than the previously known youngest great grandmother. It is difficult to verify information about claims of the world’s youngest grandmother or great grandmother. Guinness, the company that verifies and maintains world records, does not have an entry for the youngest grandmother or great grandmother on record.
