Elisabetta Dami is credited as being the ghost-author of the Geronimo Stilton series of children’s books. The printed books have previously referred to the author as Geronimo Stilton, the title character. Elisabetta Dami got the idea for an adventure series from her experience volunteering with sick children.

The best-selling series revolves around a talking mouse from New Mouse City, who is a journalist that finds himself in great adventures.
