How Do You Write an Introduction to a Project?
Last Updated Apr 3, 2020 4:35:13 AM ET

An introduction to a project, paper or verbal presentation engages an audience and provides a concise preview that includes the background of the project, clarifies the points examined and explains the conclusions. An introduction sometimes includes a definition of key terms used in the project.
If the topic of the project is technical, the background may include other researchers' findings to support the thesis and research questions related to it. The project's parameters and the degree to which points are covered, along with the aim and objectives of the project, give the audience a clear overview to follow. An introduction may also mention limitations to the study and address the need for further investigation.
