Muller Thurgau, a white wine from Germany and Austria, is the lowest-calorie wine at 113 calories for a 5-ounce glass. The next lowest-calorie wine is Gamay, a young red wine from Beaujolais in France, which has 114 calories in a 5-ounce serving.
Muller Thurgau is not easily found in American wine stores, but Gamay is widely available in the United States. Gewurtztraminer and Chenin Blanc, two white wines with 118 calories per serving, are the wines next lowest in calories. Rounding out the top six are Sauvignon Blanc and Riesling, two white wines with 120 calories in a 5-ounce glass.
