Is Watch32 Legal?

Copyrighted movies linked on Watch32 are not legal to view in the United States. While Watch32 does not host the files themselves, it has secondary liability under copyright law. As of 2014, there are active DMCA complaints against the site due to this liability.

Because Watch32 links to files hosted on third-party sites, the DMCA notices only remove Watch32’s links from search engine results. To have the videos taken down, the copyright holders must send a complaint to the service hosting the video file. Sites that do not comply with these notices lose their exemption as Web hosts and may be held liable for the infringement.
