What Are Vizio Remote Codes?
Vizio remote codes allow Vizio universal remotes to work with just about any type of television. Entering the code for the right type of TV activates the remote and enables it to control the TV.
Vizio remote codes are available on the Vizio website under the “Vizio Universal Remote Setup” link. On that page, the link that says “Universal Remote Codes” with the PDF symbol contains all the codes. In order to set up a Vizio remote control, first the user needs to turn on the TV or device they wish to use. Then, the user needs to press the TV’s power button and hold it down for five seconds until the light on the device flashes twice and then stays lit. Next, entering the number connected to the particular device causes the LED light on the device to flash once for every number entered. The device then flashes its LED light twice and turns off after the last digit. At this point, it’s time for the user to press the power button on the remote control. The TV or other device then turns on if the user entered the right code. If the code fails to work, it means the user should check to make sure the code is correct and then try again.
