Some of Victoria's Secret products are manufactured in India and Sri Lanka. Others are made in Jordan and on the Pacific island of Saipan, in factories described as sweatshops.
In 2011, it was reported that cotton grown in West Africa using child slave labor was being used to manufacture some of Victoria's Secret products. The products were misleadingly labeled as being produced under fair trade standards of labor. In the 1990s, prisoners in South Carolina were manufacturing some of Victoria's Secret products.
