The value of an Everett piano ranges from $3,000 to $10,000 as of 2014, depending on several variables. The type of piano, its size and its finish are all determining factors of its value.
The most valuable Everett piano is the EV-185. This model is a grand piano and the largest Everett piano at 6 feet, 1 inch long. It boasts a polished ebony finish. The next most valuable Everett piano is the EV-165, which is also a grand piano. It is 5 feet, 5 inches long with a polished ebony finish. The EV-152 is a 5-foot grand piano, and the EV-146 is a 4-foot, 9-inch grand piano. Both have polished ebony finishes.
The vertical pianos are less valuable than the grand pianos. The EV-121 and EV-113 have polished ebony finishes. The 48-inch EV-121 is the most valuable of the vertical pianos; the 45-inch EV-113 comes in second. The EV-112 is the smallest piano, at 44 inches long, and has a continental finish.
The Everett Piano Company was founded in 1883 and was owned by Yamaha for a time. Many notable composers used these pianos for their work. Although the company produced both grand pianos and small pianos, the growing demand for more affordable vertical pianos caused the company to stop producing grands entirely, focusing instead on the smaller instruments.
