Utz chips aren’t available in all 50 states. As of 2015, Utz chips are primarily available along the East Coast and in the Southeast. Shoppers can find Utz chips for sale in Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, New York and Connecticut; in addition to Rhode Island, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware.
Shoppers can also find Utz chips in Maryland, West Virginia, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama and Louisiana. There are also parts of Vermont, Ohio, North Carolina, Tennessee, Mississippi and Florida where Utz chips are available.
The Utz company was founded by William and Salie Utz in 1921, out of their home in Hanover, Pennsylvania. It was originally named Hanover Home Brand Potato Chips.
