How Do You Use a Sandisk Cruzer Flash Drive?

To use a SanDisk Cruzer flash drive, plug it into a USB port on your computer, open up a file folder, and drag and drop the desired files into the drive’s folder. Cruzer flash drives come with SanDisk SecureAccess, which allows you to store files in an encrypted password-protected folder.

  1. Connect the flash drive

Turn your computer on, and plug the SanDisk Cruzer flash drive into one of the USB ports of your computer.

  2. Transfer files

Open up the file folder containing the documents that you want to transfer. Select one or more files, and drag and drop them into the folder of the flash drive. If you prefer, you can also copy and paste files into the folder or save them directly. If you are transferring a large quantity of files, create separate folders on the flash drive to keep them organized.

  3. Protect your files

SanDisk SecureAccess is software included on your flash drive that allows you to create a password-protected folder with 128-bit AES encryption. From the drive’s folder, open the program to set up the private folder and create a password. If you are using a Mac, you need to download the software separately by following the instructions included with your drive.
