What Types of Clothing Are There in Angola?

Traditional clothing of the Angolan culture is woven from cotton or made of animal skin. Many of the Angolan people now wear modern clothing.
Angolan people have now switched to wearing modern clothing such as blue jeans and T-shirts. Their traditional attire is made of clothing constructed from skins of animals and handwoven cotton. During festivals, men apply tattoos to show what their status is in the society. Women wear dramatic hairstyles including braids and pay close attention to the accessories they wear with their clothing. European missionaries tried to put an end to Angolan people wearing their traditional clothing.
