The status of a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) can be found on Universal Enroll. TWIC registration does not require a walk-in and applicants may receive their card within three weeks of processing.

The TWIC program is an initiative founded by the TSA and U.S. Coast Guard. It provides services to commercial or military maritime workers that may require access to secure areas of port facilities. All Coast Guard of the merchant mariners must obtain a TWIC. To receive a card, applicants must provide biographic and biometric data, such as fingerprints. They must also pass a security assessment test that is conducted by the TSA. As of 2014, there are 2,999,058 workers enrolled in the program.
