The four ethnic groups contribute clothing items to create the traditional dress for Singapore. It isn't odd to see a Singapore minister dressed in a shirt with orchid prints.
There are approximately 5 million people who call Singapore home. Many of them are from China, but there are others who are from Indian descent, Malay and are Eurasian.
While there are a number of people that wear traditional cultural dress in Singapore, there are some that choose to wear more modern-day attire. Many people opt to dress in casual, cool clothing because of the hot climate. This includes mostly Western attire, such as jeans, shorts, flip-flops and T-shirts.
