The best time to take vitamins is in the morning, according to Mother Nature Network. Upon waking from sleep, the body needs nutrients for energy to start the activities of the day. Vitamins supplements are synthetic substances that break down and are absorbed into the body best with food.
For long term health benefits, vitamins should be taken daily or on a regular schedule. Nature Made explains that several vitamins and supplements can be taken together at meal time. However, some should be taken on an empty stomach. Generally, breakfast is a convenient time to remember to take them. These common morning vitamins include a daily multivitamin with B-complex, vitamin E and vitamin C.
