Bake meatloaf at 350 degrees Fahrenheit unless the recipe specifies otherwise. A properly cooked meatloaf has an internal temperature of at least 155 degrees Fahrenheit.

Some meatloaf recipes, such as The Kitchn’s, recommend baking the loaf at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 55 minutes to one hour. Other recipes, including Hunts’ Home-Sweet-Home Meatloaf and Country Living’s Prized Family Meatloaf, suggest an initial baking temperature of 400 degrees Fahrenheit. These recipes require dropping the temperature to 350 degrees Fahrenheit after 15 to 30 minutes.

The temperature and cook time vary depending upon a number of factors including the ingredients used and the overall size of the meatloaf. Food Network’s recipe for Good Eats Meatloaf recommends cooking the loaf at 325 degrees Fahrenheit for about 45 minutes. In all of these recipes, the meat must reach an internal temperature of at least 155 degrees Fahrenheit to ensure safe consumption.
