What Teams Did Pelé Play For?

Pelé played both club football and internationally. He played for the Brazilian club team Santos from 1956 to 1974. He came out of a short retirement in 1975 to play for the New York Cosmos, an American club team, from 1975 to 1977.

Pelé also played for the Brazilian national team, winning three World Cups with the team in 1958, 1962 and 1970. His playing career finished in an exhibition game in 1977 between his first club, Santos, and his last club, the Cosmos. Pelé played one half for each team. He is frequently ranked as the best footballer to ever play the game.
