Subjective writing is a style of writing that is based on the writer’s own personal opinions. This includes the writer’s point of view, judgments or interpretations.

Subjective writing is a style of writing that is not well suited for news reporting, textbooks or other forms of writing in which the information or writing needs to be based on pure facts. Writing that is based purely on facts or analysis is called objective writing.

Subjective writing works best for blogs, editorials or leaving comments on Internet posts because these are the personal opinions of the writer. Good text books or encyclopedias must contain all objective writing.
