What Street Gangs Are in Alabama?
Dothan, Alabama is home to three street gangs as of 2015. Montgomery, Alabama is home to the All Profits Gang, or APG. The nationwide street gangs the Crips and the Bloods have a significant presence in Alabama, as does The Almighty Latin King and Queen Nation.
In Dothan, the New Breed Boys come from the east side of town. Its rival gang is the Bottom Boys from the west side of town. The Goon Squad came into being after a territorial rift among Bottom Boys members.
The nationally known gangs the Crips and its archnemesis, the Bloods, are established throughout Alabama. Several branches of the Crips in the state include the East Side Long Beach Rollin 20s, West Side Rollin 40s, West Side Rollin 50s and West Side Rollin 60s. The Bloods also have several subsets in Alabama including Hit Squad Brim, Fruit Town Brim, Harvard Park Brim, Van Ness Gangster Brim and Fruit Town Piru. A street motorcycle gang called Devils Diciples that originated in Fontana, California has multiple chapters in Alabama.
