Stores that sell Boar’s Head deli meats include Publix, Stop & Shop and Ralphs, as of June 2015. Boar’s Head products are also available at certain fine delis and gourmet shops. Customers can find retailers that sell Boar’s Head products by calling the company’s sales office at 888-884-2627.

In 1905, Frank Brunckhorst founded Boar’s Head in Brooklyn, New York. The company used horse-drawn wagons to deliver products to nearby delis. As Boar’s Head grew, it needed more production. This led to the creation of the first Boar’s Head manufacturing plant in 1933, which sent products to delis around the New York City area. In the 1970s, high demand for Boar’s Head products caused the company to begin shipping them across the country on trucks.

The company makes meats and cheeses without any fillers, gluten, artificial flavors or trans fats. It recommends customers consume products within three days of the purchase date. Boar’s Head doesn’t recommend freezing its products due to the effect freezing has on taste and texture. It provides a nutritional brochure, with information on all its products, on its website. Customers can also call the company’s nutrition line at 800-352-6277 for more information, or to request information about a specific product.
